Large Bowel
The "Large Bowel" is a common name given to the large intestine or colon. This is the piece of intestine that connects to the rectum and tracks its way up, across and down the sides of abdomen, before connecting to the small intestine which fills the gap inbetween - as shown in the graphic below.
