Ostomy Details
His colostomy was originally formed in 1997 via Keyhole Surgery using the Hartmann's Procedure. It was meant to be just a temporary colostomy to let hisrectum rest so that the bowel disease could itself calm down. As it happened it didnt work like that, the disease got worse and eventually in 2002 the rectum was Removed at St Marks Hospital, London.During the stay in hospital for that rectum removal op he contracted MRSA which ate away at the read wound and inside, and caused irrepairable nerve damage leaving him in pain 24/7 and needing to live on Opiates to get through it. He currently sees a Pain Management Specialist to help ease the pain and has very bad depression when the pain is bad.
