The intestines are part of the lower gastrointestinal tract and are comprised of two parts; the small intestine and the large intestine.
The small intestine is comprised of three parts. Namely:
- Duodenum
- Jejunum
- Ileum
- Colon
- Cecum
- Rectum
- Ascending colon
- Transverse colon
- Descending colon
- Sigmoid colon
