  1. I'm a male in my late 50's with an ileostomy and a not too large, manageable and likely permanent hernia around my stoma. I've been doing isometrics, crunches and leg pull-ins since probably about a year or so from my operation, so some 10 years now.  The abdominal core is firm enough and I'm not complaining but It would be good to improve it if I could and, to that end, I'm wondering if anyone out there has had success with some other sorts of exercises/ strengthening drills.  Would appreciate the sharing. P.S.  I don't really expect to ever get the full six-pack back again but I do want it to be the best it can be...
